How It Works...
• BODY: Metal or composite (plastic, fiberglass or other non-metal material).
• E-Coat: Anticorrosion coating applied to metal (usually steel) body components.
•PRIMER: Used to create an optically uniform base for the color coat.
• COLOR COAT: Provides a thin (1-2 mils, dry) thick layer of color which is the primary color of the vehicle. This layer provides color only and has little if any physical or chemical protection.
• CLEAR COAT: The thickest of all the coatings (applied 2-4 mils, dry), this layer provides essentially ALL chemical and physical protection for the layers below.
Basically, this product uses the same chemistry as UV cured (hardened) dental fillings. We use the same UV that we get a tan from to trigger the hardeners in our product.
As plastic surfaces weather, additives are washed out which create microscopic pores. As a result, the surface looks white or faded to our eyes. PRESTO!™ GELCOAT REJUVENATOR™ penetrates, fills & seals these pores restoring surface color & fighting future damage.
Unlike other products, PRESTO!™ is so durable it lasts for years – not weeks. PRESTO!™ will not wash away like wax, silicone or oil based products. Because PRESTO!™ Penetrates surfaces so effectively, as little as one coat can restore the showroom-like appearance of your vehicle.

What is this product?
This product is the most advanced, highest performing and environmentally friendly car care product available anywhere. Each product is key-formulated for the surface chemistry the product is intended to be used on. While our products are surprisingly easy to use, they behave UNLIKE ANY PRODUCT YOU MAY HAVE USED BEFORE. This product contains no solvents, no water, no alcohol and no petroleum based ingredients. •WHAT RESULTS can I expect? Dampen the surface with water. The way the surface looks like when it's wet is what this product will make the surface look like permanently. If the damage is limited to the clearcoat the scratch or scuff will vanish when it gets wet. The same applies to color damage. If the pigment is too faded or worn away it will not rejuvenate when it gets wet. If the color is damaged the color must be repaired or replaced before you use this product.
•This product requires the ultraviolet (UV) light in sunlight to cure. This products use the same chemistry as “light cured” dental fillings. They cure through a chemical reaction that hardens them until they are dry to the touch. They do not “dry” because they contain nothing that evaporates.
•How fast does it cure? Cure as fast as 1 hour is possible in full sunlight at 80oF; cure rate slows with overcast skies and cooler temperatures. If you can, apply these products before 11 a.m. to take full advantage of peak UV hours 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Professionals can achieve cure as fast as 15 seconds using the same UV lights used for windshield repairs.
•This product reacts to UV light quickly – NEVER pour this products directly onto the intended surface because they may harden before you expect it. If this happens you will need to treat the results exactly like a clearcoat flaw - wet sand and polish. If you can't apply the product in the shade, work in the shadow of your body OR apply it in the morning when UV levels are still low. Don't apply the product the night before because it will be absorbed completely by morning.
•It should take 10-15 seconds to do 1 Sq. Ft. If it takes longer you're doing something wrong.
•Until cured, this product flow like an oil. After you apply it, give it time to self level. Apply at temperatures above 55oF because it takes too long to self level at cooler temperatures.
•Keep sunlight out of the bottle! Either poke a hole in the foil seal to keep sunlight out, or cover the top with your thumb as you apply the product with the free hand.
•Use plain paper towels. Use cheap, disposable plain paper towels to apply this product. Lightly apply this product by hand. DO NOT rub because paper towels can scratch the surface if too much pressure is applied. As the product starts to harden the towel, wrap a new towel around the old paper towel. Dispose of used paper towels as non-hazardous solid waste as needed.
•For best results on oxidized Surfaces. Applying this product directly to oxidized car paint will rejuvenate faded colors. However, this product is colorless and will not replace or repair missing or damaged color. To get a high gloss result, you need to remove the oxidation first. For best coverage and highest gloss results, oxidation should be compounded off by using a wax-free compound. The higher the surface gloss is before application, the higher the final gloss will be.
